Christa Smith

Christa Smith is the co-founder of Guidebook Consulting. She is also an Executive Director of a social agency and has spent the last 20 years in leadership.

She has Master’s Degrees in both Counseling Psychology and Business Administration, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Being in relationship with yourself and others is one of the most impactful experiences you will have.

Christa's passion is developing others within their systems and enhancing relationships. Her practice is about empowering individuals and couples to find healthy and productive relationships with themselves, their partners, families, and in their workplaces. She believes how we build relationships with others in our systems will affect how we feel and every aspect of our lives. By combining her business background with psychology, she brings multilayered perspectives to building successful relationships and looks forward to building one with you.

Christa offers Couples Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT),  as well as Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) to adults in-person or online.

 

 

 

Dr. Cindi Saj

Cindi Saj, PhD, is a co-founder of Guidebook Consulting, where she is dedicated to guiding clients on their journey of self-discovery. Through her work, she helps individuals uncover their unique strengths, values, and aspirations.

Cindi provides support to children, youth, and adults, and brings a wealth of experience in both rural and urban settings. She has worked with individuals facing a diverse array of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, criminal behavior, abuse, anger management, impulsivity, suicidality, substance use and addiction, as well as concurrent mental health disorders.

Cindi holds a Doctorate from the University of Manitoba, a Master's degree from Lakehead University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Simon Fraser University. She is a certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapist and has extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Clinical Hypnotherapy, Internal Family Systems and Indigenous Focusing-Oriented Therapy (IFOT). Additionally, Cindi is a Yoga Instructor specializing in Trauma Recovery, and she incorporates a somatic therapy approach to healing by focusing on breath and body awareness, recognizing that our bodies often signal stress and emotional triggers.

In addition to her clinical practice, Cindi teaches at Yorkville University in the Masters of Arts Counselling Psychology Program, and at Thompson Rivers University in the Faculty of Education and Social Work. She is passionate about educating and mentoring the next generation of clinical counselors and social workers.

Cindi is deeply committed to empowering individuals on their path to wellness.
