Christa Smith

Christa Smith is the co-founder of Guidebook Consulting. She is also an Executive Director of a social agency and has spent the last 20 years in leadership.

She has Master’s Degrees in both Counseling Psychology and Business Administration, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Being in relationship with yourself and others is one of the most impactful experiences you will have.

Christa's passion is developing others within their systems and enhancing relationships. Her practice is about empowering individuals and couples to find healthy and productive relationships with themselves, their partners, families, and in their workplaces. She believes how we build relationships with others in our systems will affect how we feel and every aspect of our lives. By combining her business background with psychology, she brings multilayered perspectives to building successful relationships and looks forward to building one with you.

Christa offers Couples Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT),  as well as Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) to adults in-person or online.

 

 

 

Dr. Cindi Saj

Cindi Saj, PhD is also the co-founder of Guidebook Consulting. Cindi works by supporting clients in their journey of self-discovery, by helping them uncover their unique strengths, values, and aspirations.

Cindi works with children, youth and adults. She is experienced in working in rural and urban settings with individuals facing a diverse range of concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, criminality, abuse, anger management, impulsivity, suicidality, substance use/addiction and concurrent mental health disorders.

She has a Doctorate Degree from University of Manitoba, a Master’s Degree from Lakehead University, and Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in Psychology from Simon Fraser University.

Cindi is an Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) Certified Therapist.  Cindi also  has extensive training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Indigenous Focusing-Oriented Therapy (IFOT). Cindi is also a Yoga Instructor for Trauma Recovery and will always support you with a somatic therapy approach to healing. That means she will always work with your breath and body, as our bodies inevitably tell us when we are stressed or triggered.

Cindi is also a University Instructor at Yorkville University and Thompson Rivers University, which supports her passion for learning and teaching by helping others to becoming clinical counsellors and social workers.
